Introducing the next World Dun Factor Champion: "Sailor," a brand-new colt out
of the 2-time World Dun Factor Champion Alilbitofbreezefactor (aka "Daisy) and
Top Ten in the World (4th place 2003 IBHA World) Dynamic In Blue!!!!!!! I know
you shouldn't use more than one exclamation point, but, really, folks, how would
YOU punctuate these pictures? Blue has already produced a World Champion Dun
Factor, Dynamic Breeze, who earned the title at the IBHA World as a yearling, so
I guess this baby will need to go to the ABRA World and take that title, to
sorta round things out. Or maybe his owner/exhibitor/breeder, Sally Jo Creger
Ghist, of Allegan, Michigan, will haul him to BOTH Worlds and create a whole new
level of winning!
Most good Dun Factor horses show a definitive wither "patch" or wither
"shadow," but, folks, this is what they call a "Cape," and you may never see
another one of these in your lifetime.
This is the photographic shot that true Dun Factor aficionadoes wants to go
for: a dorsal stripe not only wide and deep and intense, but also decorated with
the "barbs" that indicate the most extreme of dorsal markings! If Sally fell off
the stall divider and broke her collarbone getting this shot, I'd bet she felt
no pain at all!
This is that really brand-new, still wet and barely unfolded shot that many
mare owners don't like us to post: baby looks all ribby and hunched up, and
those ears might still be turned down from 11 months in the oven. But real horse
people LOVE to see them at this point: this is the real real deal.
Congratulations, Sally and family, on an outstanding baby from that great mare
Alilbitofbreezefactor! Betcha this one will get it all DUN, in the color events
AND in the performance arena, too! What more could anybody want for a future?!
Still wet and a little shakey: big beautiful grulla filly foal
out of This Ladys A Leaguer (Ritzie)and by Dynamic In Blue. Foaled April 2, 2012
and looking mighty good! Breeder: Valerie Morgan, Thornville, Ohio. Full sibling
is Margie Bachman's Deluxe Dun Blue, out in IL, and this filly will be as grulla
as he is when she loses her baby coat.
Here's mama Ritzie (This Lady's A Leaguer)with her 2-day-old filly on their
first day out of the foaling stall! Notice the mare's lovely RED coat, a nice
contrast with baby's decidedly dun shades--that's the touch of Blue!
Look at that face! If you notice the black outlines on the face markings,
and especially the black eye make-up
you know that's a grulla under there. Her barn name, Taylor, is an obvious nod
to the beautiful Taylor Swift, with her gorgeous eyes!
Take a look at the newest Blue baby of 2012: a big gorgeous dun colt out of
Holly Musser's mare Doc's Oceanside Star! He might win the 2012 prize for LEGS!
Congratulations, Holly, Eric, and everyone at Briar Hill Farms on this
super-nice colt, foaled April 4, 2012 (I think--the days have run together here
lately). I know the mare was due April 6 and the baby came just a day or two
early! We'll be watching for more pictures when he gets turned out in a day or
so!
Filly foaled March 12, 2011, out of Ziprageously Classy (Ziprageous) by Dynamic In Blue, is enjoying her first day outside in the chilly Vermont weather. Talk to him about sale conditions and price: 802-535-2593.
Congratulations to mare owner Josh Johnson, JMJ Quarter Horses, Lunenburg, VT on
this big, pretty grulla filly out of Ziprageously Classy (Ziprageous) by Dynamic
In Blue (Dynamic In The Dark-Dynamic Deluxe). These pictures were taken when the
filly was about 4 days old, and just look at those legs, that beautiful face,
and of course that gorgeous color, all trimmed up in Dun Factor! Watch out,
World!
The first Blue Baby pictures of 2011 came in this a.m. from breeder Josh
Johnson, Lunenberg, VT. Congratulations, Josh and Mama Ziprageously Classy
(Ziprageous) on this fine loud-colored grulla filly. The pictures were taken
when the foal was only an hour or so old, and they might be a little blurry, but
we sure can see enough to see how gorgeous she is! More photos and even a little
video are coming soon.
Get a look at this gorgeous dun/grulla colt foaled March 31, 2010 out of Teri
Bedner's bay mare "This Zip Sizzles" up in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.
Congratulations, Teri and Four B Farm, breeders of another show-quality dun
pleasure/performance Dynamic In Blue baby!"
Teri promises to keep us posted with more pictures of her outstanding Blue foals
(and yearling) in the near future, so watch this space!
Christi Schuckman of Burlington, Wisconsin is proud to announce the arrival on
Sunday, April 11, 2010, of a beautiful dark dun or bay filly by Dynamic In Blue
and out of her World-Champion Producing mare Pleasure Time Promis. This gorgeous
gal is a full sibling to Christi's 2009 colt, Dynamic Promises, who was Reserve
Futurity Champion Weanling Colt, and Congress Reserve Grand Champion Stallion in
the Weanling Colts division as well as placing in Dun Factor! No matter what
color this filly ends up, she has a super Pleasure future ahead!
Congratulations from Blue and the Krughs to Christi and "Promis" up at Little
Peace of Heaven Ranch!
Dark Blue Suzi Que, a 2009 orphan filly by Blue and out of our own daughter of the great Story Man, is starting her pleasure training with a little light work on the longe line, plus some "free longeing" in the round pen. Suzi is such a favorite with our grandkids that we had to swear an oath that we would not sell her without their approval. She is registered as a grulla with IBHA but that may be questionable, since she shedded out about as black as black can be, after foaling out a lovely blue-grulla shade! Oh, well, so it goes! She is one of those "back-pocket" fillies who just wants to please you so that you'll pet her some more, and she'd walk into the living room and watch QVC with me if I asked her to... This girl has the softest, most gorgeous lope we have seen yet on any of our babies, and the sweetest disposition you could ever want in a filly foal. Can't wait to see how she responds to a saddle, but we'll take her very easy as we always do with our babies, looking for a long and sound life for each of them. Ain't she sweet?
Dynamic Blue Doc, aka "Jake" has received a clean bill of health from Dr. Bras at Rood and Riddle, Lexington, KY, following his surgery and rehab to correct contracted tendons. This big guy has been a bit of a hard-luck kid right from the start, but at this point we have very high hopes that he will fulfill his heritage as a beautiful, athletic, versatile, great-minded pleasure horse for many years to come. If he spends his life here at Stone Anvil, that won't break anyone's heart, since he will make the perfect "Step-up" mount for the grandkids when they no longer regard the Haflinger's trot as big-time excitement out in the pasture. He's so pretty and such a camera Ham, I can't resist taking his picture!
Dynamic In Blue, a World Champion Sire of Color, has achieved another benchmark in the world of color in pleasure: Dynamic Breeze, by Dynamic In Blue, out of LW SHow Breeze Lady, was second
in the nation in the NSBA (National Snaffle Bit Association) standings in OPEN YEARLING LONGE LINE!
The outstanding grulla colt, who won the 2008 IBHA World Champion title in Color, has placed SECOND
to Rosemary Lahmann's yearling Hes To Hot For Me, and ahead of Stanley and Susan Scott's Go Figure,
according to the National Snaffle Bit Association's standings reported in the November issue of
Way To Go magazine.
"Beezer," an orphaned baby bred by one of the country's most dedicated breeders of grulla horses,
Ava Gardner (Berlin Heights, OH) has come quite a way since his foaling, which tragically took the
life of his mama, the outstanding Dun Factor mare, LW Show Breeze Lady. Nursed, raised, trained,
and presented by the Grandstaff family, of Marengo, Ohio, Beezer continues to astound them all
with his lovely, soft, and pretty " pleasure" way of going, as well as his unique color, which
continues to intensify as he grows.
Congratulations, Ava, Mike, Tamie, and Ben, on achieving a new mark for Dynamic In Blue and his
unique get!

Congratulations on breeding Blue's very first Paint foal!
Dark Blue Hoochy Koo aka "Belle"
2008 filly out of Dynamic in Blue and I'm Deluxe In Color
Yearling filly Get Outta The Dark, by Dynamic In Blue, out of Get Out of My Class,
shows her winning Longe Line form at the prestigious Tom Powers Triple Challenge,
where she placed 4th in the Non-Pro Color Longe Line and earned a nice purse for breeder
and exhibitor Mary Ann Etchison, and made stallion owners Larry & Sunny Krugh very proud!
Nice job, Sadie!
"Suki," an April, 2008 foal by Dynamic In Blue, out of Invest In Good Times.
This pretty. elegant filly is the result of the mare-owner's purchase of a
breeding to Dynamic In Blue from the 2007 Tom Powers Stallion Service Sale,
making her eligible for the big Powers breeders futurity purses.
This picture was taken in mid-June, at two months of age.
Congratulations to the breeder, Gayle Davis, of Chula, Missouri
on her future pleasure star!
Congratulations to Sarah Adams on her purchase of
Dark Blue Rerun, aka "Riley," on March 18, 2008. Riley was the first of Blue's babies
foaled here at Stone Anvil, and from the moment he hit the ground he was Larry's favorite
